We are very excited to announce that we will be moving into a larger location in January 2012.

The new address is 1426 Cerrillos Rd.  We will be next door to Beyond Waves and across the street from the Indian School.

At this point we have the keys to an empty shell and for the next month we will be feverishly working turn it into a space we can call home.

The official move date is planned for January 15th although we may have to adjust that depending on how our progress goes.  In the meantime it is business as usual at our current location and we will do our best not to let this massive undertaking disrupt the excellent service that we strive to provide.

So… Stay tuned and we’ll keep you updated as we turn this joint into something awesome…

We’ve got some paint on the walls.  Thanks to our buddy Ryan Welsh and his crew for banging it out.

The move is a week away and we are making progress.  The high ceilings are going to allow us to hang bikes overhead so we had Lex, and his crew from Lex Lucias Designs, install some steel between the beams to hang from.

The warped concrete walls present a challenge for hanging slat wall.
Luckily our pal Brian Kennedy found some time in between putting out fires and being a dad to help us get the walls furred out.

Now that the walls are ready, we’ll have to make a trip to ABQ to pick up the extra slat wall we’ll need.  We’ll be able to reuse what we have from the old shop but we can’t move that until all the product that’s hanging on it is moved.

Two days till the move,  Hanging slat wall and bike hooks have been the primary tasks this week.

There’s still plenty to do but it’s starting to come together

The Big Day
After getting the new space all cleaned up it was time to start boxing things up at the old shop

Thanks to some great volunteers and there vehicles, the move itself was fast and smooth.  We had almost everything moved in less than 3 hours.
